This is a follow up article from my previous one about using Pinterest for traffic generation to your blog, website or social media platform.
In the previous article, I mentioned using group boards to get your pins more visibility. A group board is just a board where there are lots of collaborators and lots and lots of followers, more than you probably have on your own profile. And so, it means that your pins get more visibility and therefore, more traffic generation. It’s really important to get in on these group boards and become a collaborator and start and share your pins on those.
In the video above, I have demonstrated one of the methods that you can use to find a group boards within Pinterest for traffic generation purposes.
This is a site called PinGroupie. If you just search PinGroupie on Google, you’ll find it – no problems.
What it does, is it lists all of the group boards on Pinterest.
As you can see from the video, it tells you how many followers each board has, how many pins there are, the collaborators, what category it’s in etc.
This gives you a great starting point to start your traffic generation on Pinterest.
What you want to do is use the search function on Pingroupie to find group boards relevant to your niche.
You can then click on the search result and it will take you to the actual board on Pinterest.
The first thing you’d want to do is follow the board. This will show the board owner that you aren’t just spamming people.
The person on the left in this circle is the person that created the board (See the video).
That’s the person that you need to contact to ask whether or not you can become a collaborator on the board.
Basically, all you do is click on their profile and you would then send them a message. Make sure you follow the board first and you’ve taken some time to look over it, and that you know what you’re talking about. And then you just send them a message and ask them if it would be possible to become a collaborator on the board because you feel that your content would be ideal for their board and their followers.
Once you’ve got a few boards and you start and share your pins on multiple boards, you find that your traffic increases very quickly, and you’ll start to get invites the other group boards as well. It’s a really powerful method. It’s easy to do and it’s free, so why would you not take advantage of the Pinterest method?
Now this is a very basic method. There are more advanced strategies that you can use on Pinterest to get more followers and more traffic to your blogs, but I just wanted to show you one of the main ways to get that traffic generation started and it is the most simple form.
